3rd line IT Support Engineer

In this role you will provide advanced IT support within Rheinmetall Defence UK’s IM&T division at the Telford site. You will act as the internal technical authority for complex incidents and drive insourcing and transition projects from external vendors. The role supports a growing user base across multiple sites with a focus on improving IT infrastructure and services. You will work closely with cross-site teams and vendors to deliver reliable, scalable IT solutions that enable manufacturing operations and site uptime.

• Insourcing & transition support for migrating services from outsourced vendor to internal IM&T team
• 3rd line escalation and complex incident resolution with vendor coordination
• Telford site IT infrastructure, server rooms, and hardware/software asset management
• Cross-site mobility to support deployments, upgrades, and local infrastructure projects
• Continuous improvement of IT processes and solutions to support an expanding user base

• 3rd line IT support experience
• ability to coordinate escalations with vendors
• experience managing IT infrastructure in a manufacturing/site environment
