3rd Line Storage Support Engineer

Location: Hampshire – Basingstoke, on customer site with travel to other customer sites required
Working Pattern: Shift working, 0700–1500 or 1100–1900

Tektora are supporting a leading Defence and National Security IT provider who are looking to speak with DV Cleared 3rd Line Storage Support Engineers for a contract opportunity on a high level government account.

This role would suit someone with a backup and storage support background who is comfortable with event monitoring, triage and escalation in a secure environment and is looking to develop further across lifecycle management and disaster recovery.

The Role

You will be involved in:

• Maintaining and supporting the backup and storage solution to allow high availability of data in the event of loss or disaster recovery
• Conducting daily checks of the solution
• Monitoring Event Management tooling, with triage and escalation critical to the role
• Assisting a high profile user community with daily contact with customers and stakeholders
• Working through the IT Service Management toolset
• Producing documentation and maintaining the product's lifecycle management
• Working alongside an established team of 2nd and 3rd Line engineers
• Travelling to other customer sites as required

Key Experience Required

• UK Sole National with active DV Clearance
• Dell EMC storage solutions including Avamar and Data Domain
• Event Management tooling, for example SCOM
• Windows Server and Active Directory
• Willing to work a shift pattern and travel to customer sites
• Microsoft PKI
• ITSM tooling and processes
• Prior delivery within a secure or Defence environment
