Accountant

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an Accountant in the gaming sector in Edmonton, Alberta. We are seeking an Accountant to join a fast-paced and collaborative environment supporting daily financial operations within a high-volume hospitality and food & beverage setting. Location: Edmonton

Monday to Friday in office

A day in the life:

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations between third-party payment processors and POS systems
• Complete cash call statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare financial summaries and supporting documentation for senior accounting review
• Track, reconcile, and maintain gift certificate and promotional program balances
• Monitor and reconcile internal meal and employee usage programs
• Update and maintain food & beverage inventory records and supporting spreadsheets
• Review inventory-related transactions and validate data accuracy
• Assist with ad hoc accounting, reporting, and financial analysis as required

Successful candidates will have:

• 1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial reconciliation experience
• Experience working with credit card settlement and payment processing systems
• Knowledge of Food & Beverage POS systems and transaction reconciliation
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and spreadsheet management
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Great Plains or similar ERP systems
• Experience working in hospitality, gaming, restaurant, entertainment, or related industries
• Experience performing Moneris (third-party credit card processor) vs. Squirrel POS (F&B POS) reconciliations.
