Our client, is seeking a Accountant, technicien comptable to join their team. As a Accountant, technicien comptable, you will be part of the Finance Department.The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to month-end close, and the confidence to work with ERP systems and IFRS-based accounting.

Job Title: Accountant,comptable

Location: Granby, QC

Pay Range: $55000 - $65000

What's the Job?

• Book journal entries in SAP based on IFRS
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting to HQ
• Prepare quarter-end closing package footnotes
• Categorize transactions by CoA (Chart of Accounts) and handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Prepare and file sales tax returns, and assist with sales tax and statutory audits

What's Needed?

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting
• Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations
• Experience with month-end closing and financial statement preparation
• Experience with intercompany transactions
• English is required; French is preferred
• Good knowledge of SAP (FI/CO modules preferred) and general accounting principles and IFRS; basic knowledge of cost accounting using IFRS and Canada/Quebec tax law
