We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to join our team in Clairmont, Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in accounting and administration while gaining hands‑on experience in a fast-paced business environment.
Reporting to the Accounting & Office Manager, the Accounting Administrator will support accounts payable, reporting, and general office administration functions. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to accuracy and customer service.
Core Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, coding, data entry, and payment preparation.
- Assist with accounts payable reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Reconcile company credit card transactions and employee expense submissions.
- Maintain organized accounting documentation and electronic filing systems.
- Prepare weekly and monthly accounting and operational reports.
- Assist with data entry and report generation as required.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to general inquiries.
- Order office supplies and support day‑time office operations.
- Maintain records, files, and administrative documentation in a paperless environment.
- Provide administrative support to the Finance and Operations teams.
- Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; business administration diploma/certificate is considered an asset.
- 3-5 years' of previous accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
