Job Description

As a key member of the Finance team, the Senior Accounting Analyst plays a critical role in supporting month-end activities, financial reporting, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Working closely with operations and finance stakeholders, this position contributes to the accuracy of financial information, drives efficiencies through automation and optimization, and provides insightful analysis to support informed business decisions.

What you're responsible for:

Reporting to theAccounting supervisor, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities/tasks:

  • Book recurring journal entries inGL;
  • Prepare month-end;
  • Lead the variance analysis processof P&L;
  • Prepare the analysis of balancesheet;
  • Develop financial models and analysis to support improvements initiatives on an ad-hocbasis;
  • Participate in the automation and optimizationofprocesses;
  • Improve thestreamlining of financialmetrics;
  • Ensure implementation of recommendations to enhance the accuracy of financialinformation;
  • Identifyareas of improvements;
  • Help ensuring accuracy, completeness,cut-offand existence;
  • Support the operation asliaisonto the finance team.

Qualifications

To join our team :

  • College orUniversity degree in accounting/finance
  • Minimum of4 to5 years in accounting, working on financial systems
  • Very strongwith Excel
  • Experience improving financial processes
  • Demonstrate leadership and critical thinking;
  • Autonomous, methodical,analyticaland accountable;

Assets:

Experience working on financial systems(GreatPlains,Recy, Maximo, D365etc.)
