Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a leading financial services firm seeking an Accounting Manager with a blend of public accounting and private industry experience, ideally with exposure to fixed income, credit, or loan products.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for fixed income / credit portfolios, including loans and related instruments
• Manage the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Review and analyze investment activity, including interest income, amortization/accretion, and loan-related transactions
• Ensure accurate accounting treatment for loan positions and credit instruments
• Partner with internal teams including Investment, Operations, and Treasury on portfolio activity and reporting
• Support preparation of financial statements and work closely with auditors during audit cycles
• Assist with process improvements, controls, and system enhancements
• Mentor and oversee junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications :

• 5–8+ years of accounting experience with a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or similar) and financial services industry experience xhqgsiq
• Experience with fixed income, loans, private credit, or credit instruments strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
