My name is Caroline, and I’m a Recruitment and Business Development Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in finance roles. I handle two types of placements: temporary and permanent positions on Montreal’s South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your industry. We cover roles in accounting, finance, and payroll.
I am looking for a Financial Controller for my client, a company in the distribution sector. This is a permanent position in Longueuil.

- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Manage monthly and annual closings, as well as accounting entries and reconciliations.
- Analyze variances and track significant changes.
- Oversee inventory accounting and valuation, as well as fixed asset tracking.
- Manage intercompany transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales tax, and payroll accounting.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate on external audits and provide the required documentation.
- Improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes.

- 7 or more years of accounting experience, ideally in an operational or supervisory role.
- Education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, month-end closings, and inventory.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems.
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in distribution, retail, or manufacturing is a plus.
- CPA certification is a plus but not required.
