Our client is seeking an experienced (General Ledger) Accounting Manager to lead workflow execution and quality review.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage the firm’s workflow schedule, keeping deadlines visible and work moving smoothly
- Lead and mentor a team of 3-5 staff accountants, answering day-to-day questions and coaching quality
- Perform quality-control reviews of general ledgers, bank reconciliations, and financial statements
- Review small business tax returns for accuracy and compliance (S-Corps, Partnerships, Schedule C)
- Prepare financial statements and tax returns for more complex or high-priority accounts as needed
- Serve as a key point of contact for client questions, translating financials into clear guidance
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with heavy general ledger management and detailed QA/review work
- Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
Nice-to-Have
- CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent)
- Experience reviewing small business tax filings and using professional tax software (e.g., Lacerte)
- Strong Excel skills
