Accounting Manager

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 plus bonus and benefits

About the Opportunity

Our client is a private equity-backed, multi-entity operator in the services industry, built through acquisition and generating meaningful recurring revenue. As the business scales, it's modernizing its finance function — upgrading systems, tightening controls, and standardizing how it closes and reports.

This Accounting Manager role comes with real ownership. Reporting to the VP of Finance and leading a small team, you'll rebuild manual processes into standardized ones, work directly with senior leadership and operational partners across the business, and have genuine visibility to the top of the organization from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close across multiple entities, owning the close calendar, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and consolidated reporting
• Manage AR/AP, invoicing, and collections, and oversee indirect and corporate tax filings
• Lead the annual review and audit process, and build the internal controls and SOPs the business currently lacks
• Drive process improvement initiatives across the finance function (e.g., standardizing the chart of accounts, stabilizing manual reconciliation processes, serving as a primary ERP user for month-end activities and approvals)
• Stabilize a manual remittance process with field/regional partners, resolving discrepancies directly with operational stakeholders

What You Bring

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including managing or mentoring staff
• Multi-entity or multi-currency consolidation experience
• Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables) and comfort working within an ERP environment
• Strong controls and process orientation — comfortable building SOPs from the ground up
• Confident communicator, able to partner directly with non-finance stakeholders and hold to deadlines

Nice to Have

• Experience with a mid-market ERP system (e.g., Dynamics 365 Business Central)
• Background in a franchise, multi-site, or service-based business model
• Exposure to a private equity-backed or acquisitive environment
