Accounting Services Manager Whitehorse

Lead accounting services in Whitehorse with expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and cash management for Yukon Hospitals.

Reporting to the Director, Finance, this full-time management position coordinates accounting activities for Yukon Hospitals Corporation, Yukon Hospitals Foundation, and Run for Mom. You will oversee accurate, timely financial information while supporting compliance with accounting standards, legislation, regulations, and organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting operations across Yukon Hospitals Corporation
• Coordinate financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger activities
• Oversee cash management and internal controls
• Coordinate audits and monitor accounting compliance requirements
• Direct, evaluate, coach, and develop accounting staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
• Several years of progressive relevant accounting experience
• Management or supervisory experience leading and developing staff
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting processes
• Strong analytical, communication, and computerized financial systems skills
