Accounts Payable Operations Manager

Lead accounts payable operations at American Iron & Metal with expertise in payment processing and team leadership. Drive performance across AIM’s Finance Shared Services Center.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, this manager oversees AP activities across AIM. The position combines hands-on operations leadership with process improvement, controls, and digital transformation. You will guide supervisors, team leads, and specialists while supporting consistent service across business divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead teams handling trade, non-trade, freight, and payment processing
• Oversee invoices, expenses, freight charges, and supplier payments
• Establish KPIs, objectives, and accounts payable service standards
• Drive workflow optimization and artificial intelligence automation initiatives
• Manage escalations from suppliers, stakeholders, and senior management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
• Minimum eight years’ progressive accounts payable or finance experience
• Minimum five years managing large teams
• Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 or Maximo
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English
