Accounts Payable Specialist

Summary of Primary Responsibilities :

The Accounts Payable Specialist is a vital member of the InFocus finance team. This role calls for an experienced A/P professional who takes pride in accurate, well-organized payables. The position helps maintain strong vendor relationships and sound internal controls, and supports timely, accurate financial reporting. The A/P Specialist will manage a high volume of transactions in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

Key Accountabilities:

• Receive, review and process vendor invoices, making sure they are properly approved and accurately coded before entry.
• Manage scheduled and recurring vendor obligations so they are recorded accurately and on time.
• Record transactions in the correct entity and currency.
• Review employee expense reports for policy compliance and complete documentation.
• Code corporate card transactions, collect receipts and resolve open items promptly.
• Process and record participant payments accurately and on time.
• Code expenses to the correct projects to support accurate client billing.
• Keep organized, audit-ready files of invoices and supporting documentation.
• Respond to vendor questions and work with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and gather approvals. xhqgsiq
• Help with month-end close activities, including A/P reconciliation.

Requirements: Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of accounts payable experience, including multi-entity and multi-currency
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with vendors, project managers and leadership to resolve issues and gather documentation
• Highly organized, with the follow-through to chase approvals and receipts
• Experience coding costs to projects or jobs (CRO, life sciences, professional services or construction are a plus)
• High proficiency with Microsoft applications
• Comfortable in Excel: pivots, lookups, matching lists
• NetSuite and Concur experience are preferred
• Strong attention to detail
