Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a global investment firm, is seeking a temp to possible perm Accounts Payable Specialist for a role within its Finance department. Position Details

• Position Type: Long term temporary contract with potential for permanent conversion
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM – Fully onsite
• Location: Midtown West

Key Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with vendor setup, payment processing, wire transfers, and check payments.
• Prepare and record intercompany transfers, bank deposits, and manual journal entries.
• Support foreign exchange-related invoice processing.
• Research and resolve vendor discrepancies and payment inquiries.
• Prepare invoice and payment documentation for audits and internal reporting.
• Process employee expense reports and reimbursements.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external business partners.
• Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Finance team.
• Assist with additional projects and accounting-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Approximately 2–5 years of relevant accounts payable or accounting experience.
• Experience with SAP or similar general ledger systems is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and data management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive mindset with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities.
