Actuary Intern

Agam is seeking highly motivated and analytical students to join our office in Canada.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support M&A, reinsurance transactions, and new deal underwriting activities
  • Develop asset and liability models for life insurance and annuity blocks of business
  • Analyze insurance balance sheet for deal pricing, strategic asset allocation (SAA), hedging, and stress testing
  • Optimize processes across actuarial, risk, and finance functions at various operating entities

Requirements:

  • 3rd to 4th year in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • High academic achievement and at least 3 SOA exams passed
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a highly dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and/or Access

Term

  • Winter 2027- Jan- April
  • Summer 2027- May-Aug

Preferred:

  • Understanding of insurance balance sheet
  • Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C# or Python
  • Knowledge of asset modeling concepts and methodologies is a plus
