Overview
As an ADA Engineer, you will develop, maintain, and modernize complex software within regulated environments, focusing on legacy carbon environmental simulators. You will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver sustainable software solutions and support modernization initiatives. The role emphasizes problem-solving, quality, and documentation throughout the lifecycle. You will contribute to safe, reliable simulation systems that underpin critical programmes and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance ADA-based software
- Support and modify legacy environmental simulator applications
- Analyze defects, perform root-cause investigations, implement fixes
- Participate in design, integration, verification, and testing activities
- Produce and maintain technical documentation across the lifecycle
- Collaborate with systems, software, and integration teams to meet objectives
- Support software modernization and migration activities
- Contribute to code reviews and ensure compliance with standards
- Assist with maintaining software quality, reliability, and performance
Key requirements
- Significant experience developing software using ADA
- Experience with legacy software systems and long-term product lifecycles
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle
- Experience with software integration, testing, and debugging
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Experience producing technical documentation and following structured development processes

- C++ development (desirable)
