Overview

In this role you manage adoption works for highways, sewers and POS areas, with tight control of bonds and budgets within the site strategy. You focus on reducing bond liabilities through structured quick wins and larger reductions, while maintaining an adoption programme for upcoming sites. You will produce Adoptions Plans with AutoCAD, conduct site inspections, and coordinate legal deeds, land transfers and maintenance actions. You will oversee the regional bond portfolio and ensure timely inspections, certificates and cost-efficient workflows. You will support site closures and liaise with authorities and customers as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Review and reduce bond liabilities systematically
  • Prioritise quick wins and large bonds to optimise the bond programme
  • Produce Adoptions Plans for Highways, Sewers and POS areas using AutoCAD
  • Conduct annual site inspections and assess H&S implications
  • Liaise with internal and external legal teams on deeds and land transfers
  • Manage regional bond portfolio and trigger points for reductions
  • Coordinate site closure meetings and initiate actions to commence adoptions
  • Oversee maintenance works, repairs, and keep customers informed
  • Produce CDM pre-construction H&S files and ensure safety documents are approved
  • Coordinate with customer care, NHBC and Local Authorities on site completion
  • Keep adoption schedule up-to-date and monitor bond limits
  • Participate in progress meetings with Road & Sewer Contractors to meet Local Authority standards
Key requirements
  • Relevant experience in a housing developer or Highway/Drainage authority
  • Experience in estate roads and sewer design, construction and inspection
  • Experience in preparing schedules of work, Bills of Quantities and tender analysis
