Overview

As an Advisory Systems Engineer at Arista, you will serve as a strategic technical advisor to large public sector accounts, driving Day 2 adoption and business value realization from Arista investments. You build deep, long-term relationships, influence revenue, and guide operational optimization and automation maturity. You act as a trusted liaison linking technical health to outcomes while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business impact, shaping solutions for complex environments.

Responsibilities
  • Position Arista products in DC, Campus, Routing, AI, CV to expand account footprint and support new opportunities including PoC testing
  • Assist in deploying CloudVision, APIs, and automation toolsets and help customers implement monitoring, telemetry, and provisioning workflows
  • Lead technical workshops and provide guidance on training, certification, and skill uplift for customer teams
  • Coordinate with SEs and PS teams to ensure end-to-end lifecycle coverage and act as technical liaison between customers, Arista TAC, and engineering
  • Serve as primary contact for Customer's Operations during QBRs, QoRs, and feedback loops and evangelize professional services deliverables
Key requirements
  • 10+ years in customer-facing technical roles (network consulting, customer success, solution architecture)
  • Active DV clearance
  • Expertise in L2/L3 networking and routing (OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN) and automation ecosystems (EOS, CloudVision, Ansible, Terraform, Python)
  • Strong consultative and business acumen with ability to map technical outcomes to revenue growth
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Arista ACE certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
  • Background in customer-facing consultative roles such as professional services or customer success engineering
  • Knowledge of data center, cloud, campus, or routing environments
