Agentic AI Workflow Designer

Design agentic AI workflows with hands-on development and orchestration for a Big 5 Bank through Apex Systems in hybrid Toronto work.

Apex Systems seeks an AI Solution Designer for a six-month contract-to-hire assignment. You will build within an internal AI framework, shaping how agents receive requests, make decisions, call tools, route work, and escalate. The role emphasizes practical workflow delivery rather than foundational language-model training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop agentic AI workflows within the internal framework
• Orchestrate agents across applications, platforms, APIs, and data
• Incorporate RAG, guardrails, memory, evaluation, and fallback handling
• Translate requirements into secure, scalable, auditable solutions
• Provide implementation support, testing, troubleshooting, and technical leadership

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience designing and developing agentic AI workflows
• Experience with orchestration, tool calling, routing, and API integration
• Knowledge of RAG, guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, and evaluation
• Experience designing for security, compliance, auditability, and AI governance
• Understanding of banking functions and applications
