AI Accelerated Applications Engineer

In this role you will design, deliver, and support AI applications and agents, blending AI tools and practical software engineering. You will work within the Data & AI team to translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions while managing a growing technology portfolio. You will collaborate with IT, business partners, and customers to improve processes and deliver maintainable, compliant solutions. You will explore emerging AI tech to drive efficiency and impact, with a strong emphasis on technical excellence and lifecycle governance. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with real-world impact in a clinical and pharmaceutical context.

• Collaborate with Customers and Business Partners to define requirements using AI where beneficial
• Design software, AI, BI and Data Integration solutions with clear documentation and testing
• Ensure solutions align with technical strategies, architecture principles, and compliance frameworks
• Oversee contracted workers and third parties to meet architectural standards
• Govern applications and automations to ensure supportability and fit for purpose
• Research and justify new tools to fulfill business needs with emerging technologies
• Assess internal processes and solutions to increase efficiency and reduce support overheads

• AI-accelerated development experience (2+ years)
• Experience with AI agents or workflows (e.g., Copilot Studio, AI Foundry)
• Azure application stack experience (Functions, Logic Apps, DevOps)
• Solid programming skills (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL) and GitHub experience
• Strong stakeholder communication with senior leaders
