Overview

In this role, you will help build an enterprise-wide AI Development Platform within the Technology Architecture & Modernization team to accelerate AI adoption across Morgan Stanley. You will design and onboard secure cloud services, develop reusable AI-enabled solutions, and enable developers through tooling and self-service capabilities. You will work with cross-functional teams and senior engineers to shape generative AI solutions and advance the firm’s modernization agenda. This is a hands-on, leadership-focused software engineering role with broad impact and visibility.

Responsibilities
  • Onboard and architect new cloud services aligned with security standards
  • Build POCs and reusable code for accessing Gen AI models via standard APIs
  • Develop and deploy scalable AI solutions and tooling for self-service deployment
  • Collaborate on major design decisions and tool/library selection for generative AI ecosystems
  • Enhance developer experience and document best practices for AI tooling and models
Key requirements
  • Experience implementing enterprise architecture across major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Strong Python development background with API frameworks (Flask or FastAPI)
  • Experience with AI development services on cloud platforms (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Cognitive Services, Terraform, AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker)
  • Experience in building AI/Generative AI and LLM-based applications
  • Experience deploying infrastructure via Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience designing scalable enterprise architectures
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong ability to influence development teams towards AI adoption
