AI & Data Specialist

As an AI & Data Science Specialist, you’ll help clients turn AI and data into measurable business value within CGI’s Tech Advisory Practice. You’ll shape strategies, build scalable, responsible solutions, and take ideas from experimentation to real-world impact. You’ll work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver value that improves decision-making, customer experiences, and operational performance. • Lead engagements from discovery and proof of concept to production and optimisation
• Shape AI strategies and technology roadmaps aligned with client priorities
• Design and build ML, Generative AI, NLP, computer vision, and analytics solutions
• Experiment, validate, and iteratively improve model performance
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to prioritise high-value opportunities
• Translate complex findings into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Apply engineering and MLOps practices to scale solutions into production
• Champion Responsible AI with emphasis on security, privacy, governance

• Proven experience delivering data science and AI solutions in commercial, consulting, or client-facing environments
• Strong knowledge of ML and data science; practical understanding of Generative AI, NLP, and advanced analytics
• Strong Python skills with libraries/frameworks (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch)
• Experience with Generative AI tooling and LangChain
• Experience with cloud AI platforms, particularly Azure AI Foundry and Azure Machine Learning; AWS Bedrock or Google Cloud AI knowledge valued
• Good understanding of data engineering, model deployment and MLOps principles
• Experience with modern engineering practices (Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proven ability to design scalable solutions and communicate with diverse audiences
• Proven ability to establish trusted client relationships and work in multidisciplinary teams
