AI Lead Solutions Engineer -Forward Deployed

As an AI Solutions Engineer (Forward Deployed) at VP level, you embed with business teams to uncover AI value and design end-to-end solutions. You lead rapid prototyping, demo value quickly, and collaborate with the core AIML team to productionise. You translate business needs into funded, scoped workstreams and ensure governance and quality throughout. You will mentor and uplift junior engineers while championing a culture of diversity and inclusion.

• Embed with IPB advisors and business partners to discover high-value AI/ML opportunities
• Prototype and build end-to-end agentic AI and LLM-powered solutions to demonstrate value
• Own end-to-end delivery: problem framing, build, demo, iteration, and hand-off to production
• Act as technical translator between business stakeholders and engineering to scope funded workstreams
• Balance rapid iteration with engineering guardrails, observability, and Responsible AI
• Contribute reusable patterns and learnings to the platform for compound value
• Mentor junior engineers and support GenAI education and knowledge-sharing
• Advocate for diversity, inclusion, and respectful collaboration

• Formal AI/ML engineering training or certification
• Advanced Python and full-stack engineering ability (backend, data, lightweight frontend)
• Fluent with AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, or agentic frameworks
• Experience taking solutions from prototype to production (CI/CD, containerisation, cloud-native)
• Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders to elicit needs and build trust
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast context-switching across domains
• Product mindset focusing on user value and outcomes
• Commercial acumen to frame success metrics and funding cases
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
