AI Platform Software Engineer

Develop AI platform foundations and runtime infrastructure at Asana in Vancouver, working with modern software design and distributed architectures.

As a Software Engineer, you will interview through a centralized process before team matching. Potential teams span infrastructure for autonomous agents, trust and governance systems, evaluation, observability, and AI-enabled product surfaces. The office-centric hybrid schedule includes standard in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Break specifications into milestones and technical estimates
• Build services powering autonomous agents and AI workflows
• Diagnose bugs across asynchronous or distributed systems
• Maintain Areas of Responsibility and production pipelines
• Conduct rigorous peer code reviews

Requirements:

• Two-plus years of professional software engineering experience
• Production experience with modern distributed architectures
• Strong command of software design and testing practices
• Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies
• Ability to ship complex changes with minimal oversight
