AI Training Software Engineer

Apply software engineering expertise to AI model training and evaluation with AfterQuery in a fully remote, asynchronous setting. Use programming skills to review code and assess model outputs.

AfterQuery seeks software engineers, computer scientists, and app or web developers for project-based AI work. You will complete a single assessment, then receive ongoing project matches across code review, evaluation, and original task creation. The work supports research into artificial intelligence through novel datasets and experimentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete software engineering tasks across AI training projects
• Evaluate model outputs for correctness and quality
• Review code across assigned evaluation projects
• Create original tasks for AI model development
• Deliver clear, well-documented work independently

Requirements:

• Two or more years of real-world software engineering experience
• Substantive internships may count toward experience requirements
• Strong fundamentals in one major programming language
• Reliable, detail-oriented approach to assigned work
• Ability to work independently in remote projects
