Algorithm Design Engineer

In this role you will contribute to sophisticated navigation technology for defence systems by developing algorithms from concept to implementation. You will join the guidance, navigation and control team to apply mathematical and engineering methods to real-world problems and evaluate approaches in realistic settings. You’ll influence product evolution, moving ideas from research to practical solutions with impact on system performance. • Develop navigation algorithms across the full lifecycle
• Investigate problems and devise innovative solutions
• Assess performance of approaches in realistic scenarios
• Apply mathematical/engineering knowledge to implement and validate solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate algorithms into products

• Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar mathematically focused field
• Experience developing navigation algorithms using MATLAB or similar tools
• Programming experience with real-time implementation, validation & verification
• British Citizenship eligible for high-level security clearance
• Security clearance vetting may be required (minimum SC)
