Alpha Implementation Test Manager – Data (AVP)

In this role, you will lead end-to-end testing and governance for Alpha implementations, partnering with Implementation Test Leads, data teams, and technology partners. You will drive test strategy, planning, execution oversight, and risk management across complex data flows and interfaces. You’ll ensure data quality, transformation logic, and reconciliation are validated across front, middle, and back-office platforms, with a focus on timely delivery and robust validation. This is a data-centric, cross-functional leadership role that accelerates implementation timelines and ensures trusted data delivery for clients.

• Partner with Implementation Test Leads to manage end-to-end test execution for Alpha implementations
• Own and govern all aspects of testing execution (strategy, planning, scheduling, execution, defect management, reporting)
• Provide project management oversight for testing workstreams (dependencies, escalation, change control)
• Serve as primary testing interface with Implementation Leads, PMO, business stakeholders, and technology partners
• Coordinate with System Performance team for performance testing integration
• Collaborate with Automation team to promote automation strategies and coverage
• Ensure consistent testing standards and governance across implementations
• Oversee testing execution across global, multi-vendor, multi-location teams
• Deliver transparent, data-driven test reporting to senior leadership
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the Alpha testing delivery model (frameworks, metrics, tooling)
• Define testing approach for ETL, data transformation, file ingestion, API flows, data marts, reports, reconciliations and interfaces
• Lead data-focused testing across Alpha implementations validating data across platforms, external providers, and downstream consumers
• Ensure data quality, timeliness, reconciliation, and downstream risk are tracked and governed
• Support client engagements with clear testing expectations and success criteria
• Lead and govern data-focused testing activities across data platforms and interfaces

• 15+ years in large-scale financial services, investment management, or data/technology transformation programmes
• 8+ years leading cross-functional delivery, testing or data workstreams in client-facing environments
• Strong understanding of buy-side operating models and end-to-end investment lifecycle
• Experience with ETL, data transformation, file-based interfaces, data mapping, data lineage, data quality testing and reconciliation
• Familiarity with ETL tools, data warehouses, batch processing, APIs, SFTP, vendor feeds and automated comparison tools
• Experience testing investment lifecycle workflows across front, middle, back office and data platforms
• Defect governance and risk-based decision making for data defects and reconciliation issues
• Cross-functional collaboration across Testing, Data, Performance, Automation, PMO, Technology, Business Operations and Client Implementation
• Experience with agile and hybrid delivery models; proficiency with JIRA and Confluence
• Executive-level communication and reporting on data readiness and testing progress
• Experience leading globally distributed teams and vendors
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Technology, Finance, Data, Management, or related field
