AMI Systems Test Analyst Programmer

Support advanced metering infrastructure implementation for the City of New Westminster using functional testing and integration expertise. This hybrid role is temporary full-time.

As an experienced Systems Analyst/Programmer, you will help ensure AMI systems and services satisfy business and user requirements. The six-month assignment includes testing web-based applications, investigating system issues with SQL, and coordinating defect resolution. You will report to the Manager of IT Applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute functional and regression testing for AMI projects
• Perform integration testing for web-based applications
• Validate results using SQL and relational databases
• Investigate system issues and document defects
• Coordinate resolutions with developers and external vendors

Requirements:

• Computer Science, Engineering, or related bachelor’s degree
• Five or more years of Systems Analyst/Programmer experience
• Functional and regression testing experience
• AMI implementation and end-to-end testing experience
• Knowledge of networking, firewalls, cloud services, and servers
