Detail-oriented and analytical, the part-time California Licensed BSA SAR Investigator will conduct thorough investigations of suspicious activities, perform AML alert reviews, and prepare SAR reports while working remotely in California. Key responsibilities Perform AML alert and case reviews to determine the existence of suspicious activity, ensuring all findings are documented and supported Execute investigations related to client onboarding and unusual activity reports, analyzing financial transactions for suspicious activity Prepare, communicate, and file SAR reports, recommending actions regarding account retention or termination based on investigative findings Required qualifications Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of professional experience and education Minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial institution with a focus on AML regulations Knowledge of laws applicable to money laundering, including the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act Experience in investigating customer transactions and creating SARs Familiarity with compliance-related regulations and practices in the financial sector
