Join our team as a remote AML Compliance Manager and lead AML operations, compliance professionals, financial crime controls, regulatory reporting, and program development.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AML Compliance Manager to lead compliance operations and manage a team responsible for AML/KYC, investigations, transaction monitoring, regulatory reporting, and related financial crime controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop AML and compliance team members.
  • Oversee AML/KYC, EDD, sanctions, and transaction monitoring operations.
  • Develop and maintain AML policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting obligations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Review complex investigations and escalated compliance matters.
  • Establish operational standards and quality assurance processes.
  • Monitor team performance, workload, and case quality.
  • Conduct or support AML/CTF risk assessments.
  • Coordinate regulatory examinations, audits, and independent reviews.
  • Track remediation plans and ensure identified deficiencies are addressed.
  • Monitor regulatory changes across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Provide compliance guidance to management and business teams.
  • Support development and delivery of AML training.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant AML/financial crime compliance experience.
  • Previous team leadership or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CTF, KYC/CDD/EDD, sanctions, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience developing or implementing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of risk-based AML compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with regulators, auditors, or independent reviewers is preferred.
  • Experience with international compliance environments is an asset.
  • CAMS, CFCS, ICA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
