In this role, you'll join a collaborative team focused on maintaining strong regulatory standards and protecting financial integrity. You'll take ownership of AML investigations, transaction monitoring reviews, and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) cases, helping reduce an existing backlog while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

What's In It for You

Join a supportive environment where your investigative expertise, attention to detail, and contributions are valued. You'll gain hands‑on experience managing diverse AML cases, strengthen your regulatory knowledge, and work alongside experienced compliance professionals. With potential for permanent conversion, this opportunity offers both immediate impact and future career growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll independently investigate AML cases, including transaction monitoring alerts and EDD reviews, identifying unusual activity and potential risks.
  • You’ll prepare thorough case documentation and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) in accordance with FINTRAC requirements.
  • You’ll help reduce investigation backlogs while maintaining a productivity target of at least two completed cases daily.
  • You’ll collaborate with the AML Team Lead to elevate higher‑risk findings and ensure consistent investigation quality.
  • You’ll apply sound judgment and analytical thinking to deliver timely, accurate, and well‑supported case outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1+ years of hands‑on experience in AML investigations, transaction monitoring, or Enhanced Due Diligence.
  • Working knowledge of FINTRAC regulations, including STR preparation and submission requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess transaction patterns, identify suspicious activity, and evaluate financial crime risks.
  • Experience managing high‑volume investigation workloads while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong documentation practices and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing cases, and collaborate effectively with compliance colleagues.
