Analyst, Capital Optimization – Portfolio Management

Monitor the financial and operational performance of the mutual insurer’s investments and holdings.
Produce and analyze investment portfolio performance indicators.
Participate in optimizing the organization’s capital structure and managing its liquidity.
Monitor the Minimum Capital Test (MCT) and contribute to capital optimization initiatives.
Support the use and optimization of credit facilities and other financial levers.
Prepare financial analyses, strategic recommendations, and monitoring reports for governance bodies.
Participate in developing and improving management tools, processes, and dashboards.
Monitor compliance with the investment policy and applicable regulatory requirements.
Contribute to the preliminary assessment of investment opportunities and the prioritization process for potential transactions.
Collaborate on monitoring strategic plans, synergies, and value creation across completed investments.
Participate in preparing materials for investment committees and other governance bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or another relevant related field.
• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation.
• Relevant professional experience in financial analysis, capital management, portfolio management, or a similar role.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong skills in financial analysis, financial modeling, and interpreting financial data.
• Excellent spoken and written French.
• Good command of French and intermediate spoken and written English.
• Self-motivated, rigorous, and highly detail-oriented.
• Relevant experience in insurance, investments, or asset management, particularly in portfolio management, capital management, or corporate finance. (Asset)
• Knowledge of capital management matters and the Minimum Capital Test (MCT). (Asset)
