Overview

In this role, you will develop and automate investment performance reporting for Global Asset Management using Python and automation tools. You’ll digitise performance data workflows and collaborate with investment teams and fund accounting to ensure accurate, timely reporting. You’ll analyze performance across securities, asset classes, and regions to drive insights and support attribution analysis, contributing to GAM’s data-driven performance culture.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and automate daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reports using Python and automation tools
  • Design workflows to digitise and streamline performance measurement data for enterprise use
  • Collaborate with investment teams and fund accounting to ensure relevant performance reporting
  • Ensure accurate pricing, classifications, transactions and corporate actions for portfolios
  • Maintain details on portfolio holdings and characteristics for internal marketing, compliance, and third-party data vendors
  • Analyze performance results at security, asset class, region, and portfolio levels
  • Compile and maintain GIPS composite performance data reflecting portfolio status
  • Support attribution analysis to provide insights on performance drivers
Key requirements
  • Degree in Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent quantitative discipline
  • Analytically skilled with experience in handling large data sets and attention to detail
  • Robust understanding of fixed income securities, return calculations, and asset class awareness
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management/storage
  • Strong skills in SQL and Python
  • Nice-to-have: experience or exposure to the investment industry
  • Nice-to-have: CFA or CIPM in progress or completed
  • Nice-to-have: strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Nice-to-have: working knowledge of Eagle or similar portfolio accounting/performance software
