Analyst Tester

Analytical Software Tester within the IT team supporting underwriting, actuarial and claims to deliver electronically traded insurance products. You will translate business needs into technical specs and ensure engineering output is thoroughly quality tested across the SDLC. You’ll create test packs, support UAT, manage defects, and drive efficient testing through automation and AI. The role emphasizes collaboration with operations and business units and requires knowledge of insurance processes and agile delivery. This is an opportunity to shape testing practices in a large insurance organisation and enable reliable product delivery.

• Produce detailed specifications from discussions with business users or functional requirements
• Ensure systems are implemented and handed over to the correct parties
• Communicate status updates to stakeholders and via DevOps
• Undertake analyst and system testing of product integrations with the policy administration platform
• Support business units with UAT
• Produce test packs for validation and regression
• Document test outputs for sign-off
• Raise and manage defects and coordinate retesting with engineering
• Perform additional testing and analytical activities as required
• Innovate testing processes through automation and AI

• Understanding UK general insurance market
• Experience with DevOps

• Translation of requirements to technical specifications
