Analytical Consultant

In this Analytical Consultant role you will translate financial and business performance data into actionable insights for the franchise-wide banking team. You will build and maintain analytics, profitability models, and management information to support decision making. You will clearly communicate findings to stakeholders and identify opportunities to improve strategy through pricing, products, and operating models. You will collaborate with managers to raise team performance and share your technical expertise, contributing to the bank’s strategic analytics capability.

• Develop and deliver analytics and insights for the franchise using balance sheet and P&L data
• Create and maintain profitability models and associated analytics with MI on model performance
• Provide insight through analysis and communicate findings to stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for business strategy improvement across product, propositions, pricing, and operating model
• Identify process and analysis improvements within the team
• Support team managers to maximise performance and share technical expertise

• Degree-level qualification in a numerate discipline
• Extensive banking or financial services experience
• Experience with analytical and data science tools (SQL, Python, Tableau or equivalent)
• Understanding of risk and finance systems and processes in banking
• Knowledge of regulatory regimes and risk management in financial services
• Strong consultancy skills and stakeholder engagement ability
