Analytics Engineer

As Analytics Engineer at Global, you will join the Data team to build data products and enable data-driven decision making. You’ll transform raw data into curated datasets and align metrics for analysts, data science, and BI users. You’ll work with Data Engineering to ensure data quality and scalable models, delivering reusable semantic layers for multiple use cases. This role sits at the intersection of analytics and engineering, helping Global unlock insights from large datasets. You will contribute to a collaborative, growth-focused data culture in a fast-moving media environment.

• Data modelling & product development: design, build, and maintain scalable data models; transform raw data into usable datasets; apply business logic; create semantic layers and core entities; align with Data Engineering.
• Data quality, testing & documentation: build automated checks for freshness and accuracy; establish testing standards; document datasets and definitions; improve discoverability of data assets.
• Business partnership & metric definition: collaborate with Analytics, Product, Data Science and commercial stakeholders to define KPIs, business rules and data definitions; ensure datasets support decision making and align with business context.

• SQL proficiency with complex queries on cloud platforms (Snowflake)
• Orchestration: Airflow
