Overview
As a Data Analytics Engineer at Checkout, you will turn product data into actionable insights and establish a single source of truth for North Star metrics. You’ll collaborate with product managers and data scientists to guide the product’s evolution and create scalable data products. You’ll own data products end-to-end, from design to deployment and operation. This role combines governance, optimization, and self-serve analytics to empower teams across the business.

- Design and implement high-performance, scalable data models for the data warehouse using dbt and Snowflake
- Create Looker structures (explores, views) to enable self-serve analytics across the organization
- Collaborate with data analysts and business teams to prepare data for analysis and reporting
- Continuously discover, transform, test, deploy, and document data sources and models
- Promote data warehouse governance: quality, testing, documentation, coding practices, and peer reviews
- Improve and optimize analytics engineering workflows and platforms
- Proven delivery experience as a data, BI, or analytics engineer
- Hands-on data modeling and data warehousing experience in large-scale environments
- Experience with software development lifecycle in analytics (version control, testing, CI/CD)
- Excellent SQL and data transformation skills (dbt or similar)
- Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
- Passion for sales, finance, customer, marketing and/or product analytics data
- Good attention to detail to identify data quality issues
