Requirements

  • Strong SQL skills with demonstrable real-world experience
  • Hands-on experience with dbt and modern ELT/ETL tools such as Fivetran
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and transformation layers
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from data
  • Experience with BI and visualisation tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Agile mindset, with experience delivering iterative, value-driven solutions
  • Desirable: AWS architecture experience
  • Desirable: Python or R experience
  • Desirable: Product analytics experience
  • Desirable: B2B SaaS or subscription experience

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines and transformation logic, ensuring data is clean, reliable, and ready for analysis and consumption
  • Work closely with business teams to understand requirements, identify pain points, and deliver data solutions that meet real business needs
  • Explore and analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights, communicating findings clearly and effectively
  • Develop and support scalable data models and contribute to dashboards and reporting solutions that enable self-serve analytics, including conversational analytics

This is a full-time, permanent Analytics Engineer role within our Data & Insights team, based in Sheffield or London with a hybrid working pattern that includes three days each week in the office.
