Analytics Engineer (UK Cards)

In this Analytics Engineer role, you will strengthen the analytical foundation for the UK Cards team, enabling faster insight from data while upholding quality and scalability. You collaborate with analysts, product, and engineering to structure, transform, and serve data as a strategic asset. You contribute to data models and support reliable pipelines for lending decisions, pricing, and reporting. • Build and improve data models supporting lending decisions, pricing, portfolio analysis, and investor reporting
• Champion analytics engineering standards and contribute to culture improvements
• Collaborate with analysts, product teams, and engineers to translate requirements into robust data pipelines
• Triage and resolve issues affecting analytics pipelines and downstream data trust; suggest improvements for cost and reliability
• Support and mentor analysts across technical levels to ensure high-quality data transformations

• Strong DBT and SQL proficiency
• Solid data modelling skills for reliable analytical datasets
• Experience with ELT pipelines and transformations at scale, preferably with dbt
• Experience with Snowflake or another modern cloud data warehouse
• Proactive in identifying data workflow improvements and proposing solutions
• Collaborative, clear communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort with using AI tools to accelerate analytics and engineering workflows
