Analytics Engineering Lead

In this role you will lead the analytics engineering function to make data scalable, reliable, and aligned with business goals. You’ll define engineering standards, shape the data models, and implement modern tooling across the data organisation. You’ll partner with Product to steer the Analytics Engineering Roadmap and champion a data-driven culture. You will own data governance, handle GDPR-related incidents, and translate complex needs into technical requirements. • Architect and scale data platforms, ensuring reliability and modern best practices (CI/CD, modularity).
• Define and enforce data engineering standards across the organisation.
• Develop advanced data models and governance frameworks; own long-term data modelling vision.
• Lead GDPR incident response and data privacy practices.
• Collaborate with Product to shape the Analytics Engineering Roadmap.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and promote a data-driven culture.

• Expert-level SQL and dbt proficiency with clean, reusable, testable code.
• Mastery of dimensional data modelling for complex scenarios.
• Proven ability to drive adoption of new standards and tools across teams without direct authority.
• Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to surface core requirements in cross-functional environments.
• End-to-end understanding of the data lifecycle (ingestion, transformation, consumption).
