Overview

As an Analytics Platform Engineer, you will design, build and evolve scalable analytics hosting platforms to support mission-critical data solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with Data Scientists and MLOps teams, delivering secure, robust platforms across cloud migrations and data management projects. You’ll tackle diverse tech challenges and adapt to unfamiliar technologies to ensure reliable analytics capabilities. This role offers impact across high‑profile public sector initiatives and hands-on engineering at the intersection of data, analytics and platform engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test and deploy scalable analytics hosting platforms
  • Build secure and robust systems supporting mission-critical analytics solutions
  • Work across the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and enhancement
  • Contribute to cloud migration and data management projects
  • Develop and enhance platform capabilities for evolving analytics requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across analytics services
  • Deliver bug fixes and feature enhancements for mission-facing platforms
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to Data Scientists and MLOps teams
  • Work across varied technologies and unfamiliar environments
  • Contribute to reliable, scalable and secure technical solutions
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver effective engineering solutions
  • Ensure analytics platforms remain robust and fit for purpose
Key requirements
  • Strong Python development experience
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Docker and containerised environments
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and GitLab pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving and practical engineering mindset
  • Experience designing and building scalable, secure technical solutions
  • Ability to work across varied and unfamiliar technology environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
