Andriod Software Engineer

In this role you will shape Ksubaka’s Android platform, enabling new shopper experiences on our in-store playSpots. You will work within the Engineering team in London to deliver high-quality, scalable software that supports growth. You’ll tackle design, implementation, and verification challenges, collaborating across cross-functional teams. You’ll stay current with Android trends and contribute to open source and internal tooling. This is a hands-on opportunity to impact how brands engage shoppers through gamified advertising.

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Produce designs and assess operational feasibility
• Integrate components into a functional system
• Develop software verification plans and QA procedures
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
• Update knowledge on state-of-the-art tools and techniques

• Proven software engineering experience
• BSc in Computer Science or Engineering (MSc preferred)
• Android development for Android 4.2+
• Hands-on experience designing interactive applications
• Proven Android apps on Google Play
• Familiarity with dependency injection using Dagger or equivalent
• Experience with Gradle, CI, and testing (instrumentation, unit testing)
• Interest in Android development trends
• Open source contribution
• TDD/BDD experience
• Mastery of software engineering tools
• Ability to document requirements and designs
• Familiarity with agile development and release processes
• Experience working in international environments
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
