Android Engineer

In this role, you will contribute to the ASOS Android app used by millions, delivering high-quality features within cross-functional teams. You’ll work closely with design to implement clean UI and follow agile practices. You drive impactful work from planning to delivery and embrace experimentation with the latest Android tech. • Deliver top-quality Android features within cross-functional squads following best practices
• Collaborate with design to implement clean, platform-consistent UI
• Work in an agile team and share ownership of engineering deliverables
• Take a proactive, hands-on approach across features and tasks
• Contribute to technical discussions on architecture and design
• Maintain a strong focus on test coverage (unit/UI) and code quality
• Engage with modern Android components (Jetpack, Kotlin Coroutines/Flow, RxJava) and DI (Hilt)
• Support modularisation efforts and maintain robust testing suites

• Mid-level Android developer
• Strong Kotlin proficiency
• Knowledge of reactive programming techniques
• Ability to contribute to architecture and design discussions
• Belief in tests (unit/UI) as essential for legacy-safe code
• Experience with agile/scrum and cross-functional teams
