Anesthesiologist Locums Needed Hanover, PA

Coverage Type: Locum Tenens Estimated Commitment: Approximately 60 shifts/month

WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a BC/BE Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Hanover, Pennsylvania. This position offers a care-team model with a combination of independent/solo cases and CRNA supervision, along with weekday and weekend call coverage.

Assignment Highlights
  • Estimated Coverage: Approximately 60 shifts per month
  • Schedule: Monday Friday
  • 8-hour shifts: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
  • 10-hour shifts: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Weekday Call: 5:00 PM 7:00 AM
  • Weekend Call: 24-hour call, 7:00 AM 7:00 AM
  • Care Model: Approximately 50% solo / 50% supervision
  • Supervision: CRNA supervision at a ratio of approximately 1:3
  • Pediatrics: No pediatric patients under age 13
  • No Open Heart
  • No Neuro
  • EMR: Epic
  • Call: Yes
  • Call Response: Provider should remain within approximately 20 minutes of the facility and be able to respond in person within 30 minutes for emergencies
  • Geographic Requirement: Must live outside a 40-mile radius ,
Clinical Responsibilities

Providers will work in a collaborative care-team model, including:

Solo Coverage Approximately 50%

  • See patients beginning in pre-op
  • Independently manage the anesthetic
  • Remain responsible for the case through completion

CRNA Supervision Approximately 50%

  • Supervise CRNAs beginning with pre-op
  • Manage approximately 1:3 CRNA supervision ratios
  • Work collaboratively with the anesthesia care team
Requirements
  • BC/BE Anesthesiologist
  • Active Pennsylvania medical license preferred; candidates needing to obtain a PA license may be considered
  • PA DEA required prior to assignment start
  • Minimum 1 year of experience
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • Epic experience required
