Qualifications
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency
• Board Certified, or Board Eligible within 5 years of training
• Unencumbered New Mexico medical license, or ability to obtain
• No visa sponsorship available
Position Details
• Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join the practice.
• One full-time, hospital-employed position in an MD-led care team model
• Collaborate with MDs, CRNAs, CAAs, and an acute pain NP
• Blend of supervision/medical direction shifts and personally performed cases
• Predictable shift-based model with generous time off built into the schedule
• Level III Trauma Center that functions like a Level II; the only trauma center in the region
• Case mix excludes cardiac, sick pediatrics, and transplants
• Coverage limited to one hospital and one surgery center
• Epic EMR and modern ORs and anesthesia equipment
• Care team experience of 2+ years preferred; new graduates welcome
• Provide surgical anesthesia care
• Supervise and direct CRNAs and CAAs in the care team model
• Personally perform anesthesia cases
