Locums - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Anesthesiology Job

Coverage & Schedule

• Ongoing hospital and surgery center anesthesia coverage

• Scheduled coverage and required on-call coverage

• Monday-Friday shifts:

  • 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, or

  • 7:00 AM-5:00 PM

• Weekday and weekend call: 7:00 AM-7:00 AM (24-hour call)

• Solo MD/DO coverage while on call

• First-call and second-call coverage

• Available coverage weeks:

  • January 4, 2027

  • January 11, 2027

  • January 18, 2027

  • January 25, 2027

• General locum weeks and call shifts do not include cardiac cases

Practice Setting & Support

• Community hospital setting

• General anesthesiology practice

• Coverage across the hospital and surgery center

• Support from anesthesia technicians

• Work alongside CRNAs/CAAs or independently, as needed

• EMR: Epic

Patient Population & Case Mix

• Patients of all ages, including healthy pediatric patients

• Cases include:

  • General surgery

  • Gynecology and obstetrics

  • Vascular surgery

  • Urology

  • Neurosurgery and spine

  • Orthopedics

  • Healthy pediatric ENT and dental

  • Electrophysiology (EP)

  • Gastroenterology (GI)

• Cardiac coverage may include open-heart procedures and transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVRs); however, cardiac cases are excluded from general locum weeks and call shifts.

Procedures & Equipment

• Epidurals

• Spinal anesthesia

• Regional anesthesia

• General anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures

• Open-heart procedures and TAVRs when providing applicable cardiac coverage

• TEE equipment proficiency and skills required for applicable cases

Required Qualifications

• Internal Medicine listed as required; cardiac anesthesiology fellowship not required
• Wisconsin medical license, or willingness to obtain one
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
