Anesthesiology Physician

Anesthesiology Locums - Burlington, North Carolina Availability & Schedule

• Start Date: Late June
• Duration: Ongoing
• Day Shifts: 7 AM-3 PM, 7 AM-5 PM, or 7 AM-7 PM
• Call: 1-2 times per week, plus occasional 24-hour weekend call
• Call Response Time: 30 minutes

Licenses & Certifications

• North Carolina Medical License: Required for privileges
• North Carolina DEA: Required
• ACLS: Required
• PALS: Required
• BLS: Required
• Case Logs: Required
• Procedural Skills: Must be proficient in spinals, nerve blocks, and epidurals

Clinical Responsibilities

• Supervision: Yes, with a consistent 4:1 supervision ratio
• Must be comfortable supervising CRNAs and performing cases independently
• EMR: Epic

Required Case Types

• General anesthesia
• Vascular
• Neurology
• OB/GYN (approximately 1,000 deliveries annually)
• Urology
• Healthy pediatric dental and ENT cases (patients may be as young as 1 year old)
• Cataracts
• Orthopedics (no total joint replacements)
• Endoscopy

Case Exclusions: Cardiac surgery and complicated pediatric cases.

Daily Staffing

• Primary Location: 4 physicians and 15 CRNAs across 14 sites
• Secondary Location: 1 physician and 3 CRNAs across 3 sites
• Call Coverage: At the primary location
