We re looking for an Anesthesiologist to provide locum tenens coverage at a community hospital in Los Banos, California. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a straightforward clinical setting, a predictable weekday schedule, and a mix of general anesthesia cases.

Position Highlights

• Start Date: February 2027
• Assignment Length: 3 months, with the potential to extend to 5 6 months
• Schedule: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM on scheduled OR days, with 24-hour call on other weekdays
• Weekend Call: Optional, if interested
• Facility: Community hospital with 45 beds
• Team: Join a group of 3 anesthesiologists
• No CRNA supervision required

About the Practice

This community hospital has two operating rooms, one of which is shared with OB. The team averages approximately 1 2 deliveries per day, and the overall case mix is primarily bread-and-butter anesthesia.

Typical cases include:

• General surgery
• GI procedures
• Routine orthopedic cases
• Obstetrics, including epidurals and C-sections
• Occasional pediatric cases involving healthy patients and simple procedures

There are no cardiac cases.

Schedule & Call

Day shifts are scheduled for either Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The remaining weekdays involve 24-hour call. Weekend call may also be available for providers who want additional coverage opportunities.

The hospital has three anesthesiologists, so call responsibilities are shared among the group. Callbacks most commonly involve epidurals and C-sections.
