Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Anesthesiology - Cardiac

Summary: We are seeking a skilled physician for locum tenens opportunities in cardiac anesthesiology to cover open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases. Candidates must be TEE certified, with a preference for those who have completed a cardiac anesthesiology fellowship. The practice operates in a 187-bed Level 1 Trauma and Academic Center, equipped with 15 operating rooms and multiple specialized suites, ensuring a comprehensive work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesia care for cardiac surgical cases, including open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases.
• Assist with general OR cases as needed.
• Participate in unrestricted overnight call and weekend call shifts.
• Supervise CRNAs when necessary during procedures.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an approved ACGME or International equivalent CV anesthesia fellowship.
• Achieved testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE).
• For non-fellowship trained applicants, a minimum of five years of documented CV anesthesia experience is required.
• Letters of recommendation from both anesthesiologists and CV surgeons.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology (General Anesthesia).
• TEE Certified (mandatory).
• Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship (required).
• Nebraska license highly preferred or IMLC.
• Clean malpractice/background preferred.
