This is a 187-bed Level 1 Trauma and Academic Medical Center featuring 15 main operating rooms, 3 endoscopy suites, 2 EP Labs, TEE and Invasive/Non-invasive Cardiology capabilities, Neuro IR, Bronchoscopy, MRI Lines, and Obstetrics services. The facility performs 360-450 cardiac cases per year and is supported by 2 cardiac surgeons on staff, offering a high-acuity environment with strong clinical infrastructure.

Job Details:
- Provide cardiovascular anesthesiology locum coverage for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases
- Cover general OR cases as needed in addition to cardiac cases
- Cases are hands-on; occasional supervision of a CRNA may be required
- Adult and geriatric patients only - no pediatric care
- Schedule includes unrestricted overnight and weekend call; Monday through Friday 8-10 hour days
- Urgent coverage needed November 23 - November 29; site will consider more than one provider to fill the block
- EMR system: EPIC
- TEE certification is required
- Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship is required
- Must have completed an approved ACGME or international equivalent CV anesthesia fellowship AND achieved at least testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE)
- If fellowship-trained applicants are not available, candidate must have at least five years of documented CV Anesthesia experience with letters of recommendation from both anesthesiologists and CV surgeons, AND achieved testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography as defined by NBE
- Board Certified in general anesthesia is required (cardiac board certification not required)
- Nebraska license or IMLC highly preferred; will consider providers who need to obtain a license
- Clean malpractice and background history highly preferred
- Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
